Rewarded Review

I wasn’t a fan of this shampoo when I first tried it. Was actually pretty disappointed. It was kind of gooey and it didn’t lather at all. It was like rubbing the texture of coconut oil on my hair. My previous shampoo lathered up quickly and created a lot of suds amd that’s what I was used to and preferred. But I kept using it because I didn’t mind the smell. Well it’s beem a few months now and I can say that for the money, it’s a great shampoo and does the trick. The smell is subtle...not perfume-y or strong. I’d describe it as a very light scent of mint but a very clean, subtle smell. And if you use a pomade or gel that has a scent you like, subtle is the way to go As far as lather, I got used to it. The downside being I use way more of this than my last brand to get a similarly clean feeling but at this price, I don’t mind that. And best of all, my hair seems to stay oil free longer than my last shampoo, which suggests it’s doing less damage and stripping less oil out (since oil production is stimulated by stripping.). I can’t say that it thickens my hair at all. But since it seems less oily and a little healthier it may give that Impression of thickness right after a shower. So if you’re looking for a thickening shampoo this probably isn’t the best option. If you want a full lather this definitely isn’t for you. If you want a cheap, nice smelling shampoo that gets the job done and does a good job at keeping your hair looking healthy, you’ll dig this. Give it a few weeks if you’re not sure, I think you’ll notice a difference and like it for what it is. My previous brand was Malinger & Goetz spearmint shampoo. I still use it but this has become the brand I use for daily washing. Much cheaper and probably much healthier for my hair.
