Valve designs are not ideal for baby's development. This valve is extremely difficult to drink from and requires hard sucking, even as an adult I found it difficult to drink from. The plastic is also extremely light and I would be concerned if there was anything even vaguely warm poured in. We won't be using it. Very disappointed that I now have another piece of plastic junk to deal with.
